Trent Kowalik, the last remaining member of the trio who created the title role in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot, will play his final performance on March 7. Kowalik shared the 2009 Best Actor Tony Award with David Alvarez and Kiril Kulish, who have already departed from the hit musical.
In addition to Kowalik, Billy Elliot currently stars Michael Dameski, Alex Ko, Liam Redhead and Dayton Tavares as Billy, Kate Hennig as Mrs. Wilkinson, Philip Whitchurch as Dad, Carole Shelley as Grandma, Will Chase as Tony and Trevor Braun and Jake Evan Schwencke as Michael.
Featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry, Billy Elliot is a joyous celebration of one boy’s journey to make his dreams come through dance. Kowalik has appeared in the show since it began previews on October 1, 2008, at Broadway's Imperial Theatre. He had previously played the title role in the London production of the show.
